"All it takes for evil to triumph is for
good men to do nothing."

(Dietrich Bonhoeffer, a German pastor, Christian martyr, and anti-Nazi activist of WWII. Courageous young minister that denounced the German church's failure to speak out against the Jewish genocide. His colleagues dismissed him as a fanatic. In 1945, he was hanged in a Nazi concentration camp. Germany lay in ruins, her great cities bombed into rubble.)

Trading moral authority for comfort, convenience, and popularity has become a tradition of the modern clergy. When Africans were being captured, bought, sold and brutalized, the majority of U.S. church leaders coveniently decided that slavery was none of their business and looked the other way. And when the Nazis began to slaughter millions of innocent human beings, also claiming that their victims were not "fully human", the vast majority of the German church decided it was none of their business and looked the other way.

So now that another group of "not fully humans" are being butchered by the millions, we should not be surprised that the majority of American priests and pastors are choosing to look the other way too.

Some pro-lifers say that if we will just educate the clergy about abortion, they will overwhelmingly help the prolife movement. That is nonsense. These same clergymen may not know all the repugnant details about abortion, but every pastor and priest in America knows in his heart that abortion is the deliberate killing of an innocent and defenseless baby. They also know that they have an obligation to fight against it. So don't be misled. The missing ingredient here is not education, but courage.

We all lack courage, everyone of us. We must pray for the strength of the Holy Spirit to help us in this spiritual battle against preborn human sacrifice. But please understand this, that the silent and dormant church is the abortion industry's single greatest ally. The U.S. abortion holocaust would end overnight if just a fraction of this nations's 600,000 churches became active in the pro-life battle.

Instead, we have church pastors who look us right in the face and say, "I know that abortion is murder, but I've got people sitting in my pews who might feel differently, and I'm not going to offend them." Of course, if someone was killing off tithers instead of unborn children, you could be certain that these same pastors would be speaking out boldly, not caring who felt differently or who they might offend. Pastors must realize that they are going to be held accountable before God for failing to deal with this issue. There could be members in your congregation who have had, or have supported, an abortion because of their ignorance. And if a church has a congregation full of members that are ignorant of the fact that abortion is murder, there is only one person to blame. THE PASTOR!

We have pastors preaching from pulpits who say that their silence and inaction on abortion only means they are not taking a position one way or the other. That is a LIE. There is no such thing as not taking a position on abortion. When a man sees helpless children being slaughtered and does nothing to stop it, he is taking a stand. His failure to intervene is tacit approval for the killings to proceed. The same applies to a pastor or church that purposely ignores the genocide that is happening in his own land.

Rev 3:15-16
I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm-- neither hot nor cold-- I am about to spit you out of my mouth.

We cannot plead ignorance before God for failing to defend the millions of unborn children being slaughtered in this nation...

Proverbs 24:11 Deliver those who are being taken away to death, and those who are staggering to slaughter, Oh hold them back. If you say, "See, we did not know this," Does He not consider it who weighs the hearts? And does He not know it who keeps your soul? And will He not render to man according to his work?

Perhaps you are a pastor who has been apathetic to the abortion issue. We all have been guilty of this in some form or another. We all have lacked courage to address certain issues. But God allows U-turns in life, and now is the time for all prolife pastors of this nation to unite together to overcome this genocide of unborn babies.

Psalm 94:16
Who will rise up for Me against the evildoers? Or who will stand up for Me against the workers of iniquity?
